PHP Welcomes Five Masters Level Interns to Support Parents

In FY24, Parents Helping Parents launched our Master’s Level Internship Program and accepted five interns to the organization. Each intern will take with them a depth of understanding about the many stressors impacting today’s parents.

Meet Our 2024 Masters Levels Interns

Sadira DeMarino is a Social Work Master's Degree student at Arizona State University. She is completing her foundation placement with Parents Helping Parents. Sadira is a single parent and spends the working day supporting the social and emotional wellbeing at an elementary school through Character Counts! and Capturing Kids Hearts (CKH).  

Tatum Jones is a Social Work Master's Degree student at Arizona State University. She is completing her foundation placement with Parents Helping Parents. Tatum has focused her career on working with children with functional or behavioral needs.  Currently, she runs a private practice providing direct intervention for individuals 3-21 with pervasive developmental disabilities.  

Cierra Sweet is a Social Work Master's Degree student at Arizona State University. She is completing her second-year placement with Parents Helping Parents. She is a Health Education Specialist at Healthy Families America at Merced County Department of Public Health.   

Rachel Norton is a Social Work Master's Degree student at Arizona State University. She is completing her second-year placement with Parents Helping Parents. Since 2010, she has worked in schools primarily as a high school teacher, advisor, dorm parent, and director of student and residential life.   

Miriam Herrera is a Social Work Master's Degree student at Arizona State University. She is completing her first-year placement with Parents Helping Parents. She has worked with the Arizona Department of Child Safety since 2015.
